There are many celebrations all over the world but one of the interesting and strange for me is national hugging day which is also called as Free Hugs.

This strange day is an annual holiday occuring on January 21 and it's officially recognized by the United States Patent and Trademark office.
Intelligence Researcher Jay Gordon says that this day is very useful for our health. what do you think, why it's useful? Jay Gordon says that new studies show children who get some long hug everyday are smarter.  Another  advantage of Big American Hug is that the more physical contact a little one gets, the more brain cells are stimulated, creating stronger, faster brain synapses and boosting.
Two years ago some teenagers in Georgia decided to celebrate this day. They took some papers where were written: Free Hug and whent to the street.
Firstly, people in the street were watching these boys very surprised and laughed but after a minute some of them tried to hug and finally everyone were hugging each other. It was very exciting. Teenagers were coming from their cars and hugging foreigners, as young as older.
It seems to me that this day will be continued this year too and people will hug strangers without laughing or something else.
